Your degree of faith will speak for you || Faith that commands (part 2)

Merry Christmas to you! Your are welcome to the part 2 of faith topic. If you were here on the blog last week you would remember that we discussed the part 1. In case you missed it please click here to read. So today, I will be sharing some Biblical truths that you need to key in to the kind of faith that commands power. In essence, I will be sharing some secrets about the power in your tongue, the hidden mysteries of positive affirmations and declarations.

sounds interesting or familiar? OK let's go!

Faith that commands
Two good examples of the kind of faith that commands power are recorded in two events in the Bible; first, Jesus Christ raised Lazarus from the death John11:41-44.
Secondly, Apostle Paul and Barnabas commanded the lame beggar at the beautiful gate to stand up and walk.

Let us look at the resurrection of Lazarus

In John 11:41-44 “Take away the stone ,” he said. “But, Lord”, said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been ‘there four days”.
“Then Jesus said,”Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”
“Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.” “Lazarus, Come Out!”. “The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face.  Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”

points to note: Jesus had the kind of faith that could move Lazarus from the grave without commanding but He choose to command him out so that the mere men that witnessed that miracle would know that God lives truly. He choose to declare HIS faith in God and put the devil to shame. He exerted authority over the spirit of death. He had the kind of faith in God that commanded the chains of death upon His friend to loose it's grip. even when Martha and Mary's faith wavered, they still had a little faith in the GOD of heaven to work through HIS son Jesus Christ to bring back their brother Lazarus to life.

Peter and John healed the lame beggar at the beautiful gate
“Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time for prayer, at three o’clock in the afternoon. “And a man lame from birth was being carried up, who was placed at the temple gate called “the Beautiful Gate” every day so he could beg for money from those going into the temple courts”. “When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple courts, he asked them for money”. “Peter said look at us!”. “So the lame man paid attention to them, expecting to receive something from them”. “But Peter said, I have no silver or gold, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, stand up and walk!”. “Peter took hold of him by the right hand and raised him up, and at once the man’s ankles and feet were made strong. “he jumped, stood and began walking around, and entered into the courts with them, walking and praising God”. Acts3:1-9

Points to note: the Bible never recorded that Peter and Barnabas were broke to the extent of not being able to give the beggar one penny. Peter and Barnabas chose to give the beggar his need and not his want, walking was a necessity for the beggar before the money. simple truth, they taught him how to fish so that he won't have to beg for fish(money) at the beautiful gate everyday just because he could not walk with his feet. I believe that you are getting the power of faith right now.

Here are some words of encouragement for you
This week before you speak any word, think about the impacts that it will have upon your life. if it will be positive or negative.

God is just waiting for you to speak what you want, affirm or declare your heart desires before HE can move into action.

Know that the devil is just watching around the corner to see and hear if you will use your tongue as the wrong weapon so that he can capitalize on that to destroy you.

Choose to ask for needs instead of wants first. The wants will follow later.

Even when it seems like you are not getting response yet from GOD keep speaking those words of affirmations and declarations of faith, they will manifest when you least expected. shame the devil and have faith in GOD.
Affirm or declare your life to manifest what you want to see.

Don't just speak because people around you are speaking just any anything with their mouth. Instead choose to command power with the words that you speak with your tongue because God has given you such authority as HIS child on earth.

Before you speak thank GOD in humility and faith and believe that HE has done it.

When you have manifested your blessings do not forget to give thanks to the one that made it possible-GOD. Thanksgiving is the best way to shield and seal your blessings and testimonies in GOD against the attacks of the devil.

Shall we strengthen our faith in GOD with this simple affirmation through out this week!
My father in heaven, I thank you because you said when I decree a thing on earth it shall be so in heaven. Therefore, I decree every storm of life, yoke of the devil preventing me from manifesting success in all areas of my life to cease this instance. My expectations shall not be cutoff, my life is fruitful. Do it not unto my glory but to your glory oh Lord in Jesus mighty name Amen (Job22:28, Mark11:23)
