SEPTEMBER LIFE UPDATES|| TAKING STOCK #5

Hey Queens! Welcome to the month of October. A brand new month full of hopeful beginnings presenting us with a chance to try again in life, reevaluate what went wrong in September, reorder our steps and make some tough but good decisions for ourselves before the year ends.
Trust me, without religious sentiments I assure you that great things can still happen but only if you are apt in identifying the right opportunities.
Now let me take a few minutes of your time and share with you how the month of SEPTEMBER was for me. Hopefully, at the end you will also share with me your victories and hurdles, no matter how small or big they may be. Promise? I would love to celebrate with you and in the other way round, comfort you with words of encouragement. Yes, we are here for all of us.

Come with me, shall we!

Making: a checklist of relevant things that I need to cross off before the year ends. I mean things that matter most in my life right now. At least I know that I can't do all the miscellaneous but the most important ones can still be checked. Irrelevancy never did anybody good, right?

Eating: more fruits. Well, in this case licking oranges each day that life presents itself. Wait a sec! Can a human being have an overdose of vitamin C? Lol, that question sounds funny. I was just wondering because I have been indulging in too much oranges these days.

Watching: a movie that Lupita Nyongo starred in as a young widow with a daughter that loves to play Chess game whom she supported with all her might until she made her way to stardom. Unfortunately I don't know the title of this movie as I saw it halfway through at a neighbor's. The movie told the negative effects of poverty and the benefits of confidence and courage. Just in you have seen this movie and you know the title, let me know in the comment section.

Reading: How To Talk To Anyone Any day Anytime by Larry King. What books have you read or are you reading?

Figuring: out some untold business truths that I have never known nor been told before.

Anticipating: the end and the beginning of life changing events in my life —don't worry, good news can't be hidden for long.

Celebrating: my country's Independence Day. I'm celebrating with my country right now. My country just turned 57 years on the 1st of October. I'm jubilating here. Even though we are not there yet but hopefully I believe that we will get there. This year our economy came out of the long, brutal recession that affected so many families, businesses and even the country herself. So it's worth the celebration. Here is me saying Happy Independence Day to my country, Nigeria.

Enjoying: life!  Making it a priority to enjoy every bit of life opportunities, resisting the urge to regret anything and learning through my experiences because that's what life is about —Learning and not perfection.

Marveling:  at the atrocities going on within Corp members.  I mean, the young ladies here aren't taking it easy, they are hustling for husbands at the expense of their dignity, I see them striving hard to bring another young woman down just so they can rise more. Some are so full of envy, bitterness and jealousy towards their fellow Corp members. Sorry, if you are reading this and you are not from my country please click here and read to understand more.

Realizing: that there are some truths or lessons that won't just be clear to you until you have attained a certain level of maturity and gotten much older in age.  I now believe this famous African proverb that says, "what an elder sees while sitting down, a child can never see it even if he/she climbs the tallest Palm tree.

Questioning: I'm I the only one that questions why people talk so much, that in the end they tell lies. Saying things that don't matter just because they are afraid of silence, living fake lifestyles that they just can't keep up with, all for the sake of portraying a particular self-image. These are what have been seeing people do lately.  I'm sorry please but if you are doing these, I want to ask...  what is your focus in life really?

Wearing: my hair in cornrows. I'm sorry I don't have a picture to show you guys now. Hopefully next time.

Learning: I know you are eager for this part. So here, in the month of SEPTEMBER, I learnt that paying attention to details can make you stand out, a pro at what you do in life. Try it!
Secondly, I learnt that a good leader must have the quality of compassion, showing kindness to humanity but firm in taking good decisions for the good of the people that he/she is leading.
There you have. Thank you for reading to the end, you are my real MVP and for leaving a comment you are my realest MVP.

Now, I would to hear from you. How was September for you?  Any small or big victories? Lessons learnt? Challenges?

Please share in the comments section.

Just finished "Millionaire Next Door" and currently reading "Cure Tooth Decay" Don't ask? LOL I'm all for supporting other women too. Life changes I can testify. I just quit my 9-5 job 3 weeks ago to pursue my passions and find something more flexible to allow me to do so. Life is too short. Great post. Will be following. :)
